Legality......? What's that?View attachment 209982
"For too long now, Wackers have gotten a bad rap. So what if we place too many lights on our cars, wire them up like a platter of linguini, and often operate on the verge of legality? ..."
looks like he got his camera from same knock off shop as the light bar!!well there are ways to mount intersectors, and then there's this guys way... potato camera vid...
His response in the comments to why they have blue lights "because it a police car to it helps out a lot to use an when we are in a bad neighborhood we use it so bad people will leve us alone"Blues needed for a repo spotter?
Check this out - check out the wiring job under the hood and in the trunk on the crown vic with the Whelen lightbar...smh.
WIRE NUTS?!? AND LEAVING THE CONTROL BOX COVER OPEN TO MAKE SURE NO SMOKE COMES OUT!?!? How bout some good old fashioned common sense and an ohms law calculation! DUMB ASS!another winner winner chicken dinner!

Who did this clown say he worked for in Miami? Because he does NOT look like a leo...
Yes and they are not allowed to "move" traffic with any lights or sirens. As far as colors they can only have amber or purple.People actually pay these @escorts".?... is there a law on the books requiring this nonsense?
Depending on the department and the chief they may be allowed to have lights on their POV, otherwise that's a negative. No idea, but if I had to guess, I'd say one of those on-call auxiliary police agencies. Don't those generally allow folks to outfit their POVs a little because they don't provide actual cars or much else for them to use?
My second guess would be a bounty hunter, which would be a very loose definition of LEO, Very, very loose definition of LEO...
Look at these clowns in FL running funeral escorts with illegal green, red and white leds along with sirens! Luckily I was waaay out of my jurisdiction for me to have a "chat" with them. LoL
I thought purple was pretty universal for funeral convoys, seems nobody really uses it, though.
They're probably playing very close to the line on those cars. I don't know many states' laws, but I read-up on my own because I buy and sell an assortment of decommissioned stuff (one of the auctions posts the relevant statute with the lot if they know the color(s) are regulated). Everything here seems to be concerned with forward-facing lights, from how it reads, you could fill your rear window with strobes & crap as long as not a single unauthorized color faces forward.
Some of those funeral escort vids scream shenanigans though. The sirens are completely unnecessary and obnoxious, as is trying to make everyone on the road stop and pull over, regardless of direction of travel. Seriously, is that really legal? Dead people have no urgency to get to their hole in the ground. I get that they want to maintain convoy integrity, but there are less obnoxious and much more effective ways to accomplish that result.
