Signal-stat 375 hazard beacon

Signal stat 375 revolving hazard beacon, amber in color, permanent mounting, works great, very bright, plastic has no cracks or other damage, base is in good condition, asking 200, worth more.

I'm pretty sure code 3 made that LP with strobes but not that way.

I know I posted the link to this TS months ago. I just emailed the seller, and asked:


"Is this a CTS model? If it is, I hope you're selling two of them for that price. If it's not, your price is about 10 times too high...that's why it hasn't sold in many, many months."

That beacon is one of the later model 17s....c.1978. The later ones like that were close to $200 by then. And it's definitely not an NYPD beacon. They only used the high-skirted 175s on their cars. Notice he says not to respond if not willing to pay the price. Bet he doesn't get many takers, Matthew!

Well, it's not a CTS bar...there's not the insert for the steady-burn red bulb. And it's not old enough to be an antique. Vintage, yes, antique, no! It might be worth $125 or maybe as high as $175, and you'll see them go on ebay for more than that. But $1100....ridiculous!

I know it's not a CTS...I was trying to make a point with the seller.

I'm not a 100% certain on this, but I think this is one of the twinsonics I restored back when I was with Nancy Run in the late 90's. I had several people start dropping them on me when they realized I could get them cleaned up and working again. I also think that the engine this is on, is one of the projects we worked on at that time as well. Again not 100% but this seller is in my backyard so to speak, and he has had this up for a loooong time.


Assuming I am correct its either a 12x or a 12F, both are correct and the last I saw them were in excellent shape. Still not worth $1100... though


He is also selling a siren with this, or at least he was the last time I read this ad.

I don't understand why members try to sell things in eBay for such high prices. They know we monitor eBay and they also know you can ship bars for far less than that...

On eBay, there's such a broad audience. He just might get lucky and find someone who's willing to pay his asking price.

Not only is there a broader audience on ebay, but simply because it's ebay, people think that they can gouge what they want for something that's worth relatively nothing. You guys have heard my rants about this before....like the guy who gets $300 for a repainted Federal Model "O" siren that only sold for $30 when they were produced. The chrome version, the VG, went for about $40 and the lighted VL for $45. But I see them for three or four times that on ebay. There's a nice NOS VG on ebay, but it's high-priced, too.

For Sale is an Internal Speed Tech Lights LED Red Light Bar. It has numerous flash patterns and also can be used as a directional stick. Lightbar works fine with no problems, was used in a car for about a month. I just don't have a need for it.

it was an all blue strobe edge with TD's alleys and red rear flashers...

Not bad, the siren and speaker went for $100.
 
OK, it may not be a blinky or make sound, but it is related to emergency vehicles. Ran across this today on CL and WOW, 375 for a damaged CVPI door just because it has Texas DPS Highway Patrol on it??? I could get a shady print shop to make that.
