Official "Whacker" or "Screwed Up Install" Thread

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick! That guy is a total nutjob!!

He sounds STONED! That light looks like a Chinese $25 special...which makes me wonder what his paycheck is. Maybe an allowance from Mom for mowing the lawn and taking out the trash?

And for the life of me, someone please tell me that the monstrosity of a cheesy amber lightbar (old Whelen Valu-Bar???) is not actually mounted and wired in for real...please tell me that's a joke...

I think I just lost an IQ point from seeing that video...wow....

ETA: And lest we forget the way that he says "green"...just creepy...like he's sheepishly pointing out the very final factor in the equation that will send him over the edge into a frenzy of total whackerdom, perhaps in his mom's bathroom with the door closed and a Galls catalog in one hand...

To be honest, the light placement doesn't seem bad. The rest is whacktastic but felt I should give him props where I could.

Saw this gem today while getting lunch. I have heard about this running around my area but had not seen it until today. This has to be the most whacked out auto rescue vehicle I have seen to date.

Is "auto rescue" the same as AAA?

Not really, it is just basic roadside assistance services of:

Automobile Lockout

Tire Change

Fuel Delivery

Jump Start

Mobile Battery Replacement

Auto Rescue| Car Locksmith | Roadside Services 24/7

It is like Papa Johns Pizza delivery drivers, they use their own cars and are dispatched out. I do not know who covers liability for what they do, but it is in no means as professional as AAA.

That Auto Rescue car would fail a State Inspection because of the broken turn signal lens.

It's asshats like this that make normal ham guys look like ratards. Now I am guessing he is a ham since he has radar, but no communications other than cb? I personally would not ever show this to anyone, let alone YouTube. Ugh

The thing under the Speedo must be a remote mount radar detector showing direction of tagger

Is that amber green or really shitty red? What lights are they? The bumper lights are a joke, the green punches the tint but the other color barely gets through.
No Red, all Amber and Green. Legal security colors in Florida I believe.

Not sure however I contacted them today and asked it I could park there rig in front of my house this December and use it as a decoration instead of climbing up onto the roof and hanging lights.

As far as I know you have to be licensed to operate a radar gun. If you are a ham, your license covers the operation of a radar. That's what I meant by that

OK, got it. However, I sincerely doubt the guy in the vid is paying much attention to the fine points of licensing and legal operation.

I believe the term you mean is "certified" im never met an officer with a license to radar...

To clarify, traffic radar operation requires an FCC license. For public safety agencies, this is covered under the department's radio license. Some portions of the radar spectrum fall within amateur bands. And, there is also a rather obscure stand-alone FCC license for speed radar.

Certification of individual operators under state traffic codes is a separate issue.

I highly doubt that guy is a Ham Operator. The fact he has a radar only means he has a radar, lol. I don't know what Ham operators you are looking at but most operators at least have a Ham radio in their vehicle, and if they don't then maybe a portable of some kind... This guy only has a scanner and a CB radio...

Its actually VERY easy to run wires to those plank spots... LoL I LOVE the busted front marker lights too... The tutorial on how to start a 88-98 Chevy Diesel was nice too... lol And yes, Halogen Strobes FTW!!! lol

And my favorite quote from the vid:

"The negative grounds out somewhere..." LoL

Ok so I had to turn around a snap a few pics when I saw this beauty.....View attachment 41085
Complete with two mini phantoms and a slimlighter to make a manufactured interior bar (as if the vector wasn't enough) and two grill strobes facing the frontView attachment 41086

.......a non secured slim miser on the rear deck....(facing upward)View attachment 41087

And of course this wouldn't be complete without the expired inspection sticker (7-12) because he has so many lights no one will ever notice that it's expired lol aimg.tapatalk.com_d_12_09_22_aty3a8un.jpg

Hope you have fun and enjoy this gem as much as I did.....View attachment 41088

I haven't been on here in a while, but just noticed this. He used to run with my department. And that was the most unique car of them all.

This isn't a contest, Garza. You didn't have to waste all that time (30-90 days shipping from china) and money ($.99 winning bid, $30 shipping) putting lights on your bike.
