so what where they attempting here? Add a speaker with the beacon? I've seen worse.. well if you have been around here long enough we have ALL seen worse.

OK, I know there is an electronic speaker base that FedSig made so that beacons like the Beacon Ray could have electronic siren capability, but this does look like a homemade hack job. Besides, if you wanna put a Unity beacon on one of those bases, I think an RV45 or RV46 would be a better fit.
