lightbar is mounted to a piece of wood which who knows how its mounted to the luggage rack.

Looks like u bolts (that are way to long) looking at the rear board. I love the relays in front of the light bar that look zip tied to the luggage rack. Real quality work haha

Wish I'd got a photo last night,

but coming into downtown B'ham, AL we were behind a Chevy HHR in silver, with "Traffic Control Escort" written on the rear bumper and it had 2 traffic advisor lights front and rear. Looked weird as hell.

Yea, the Seal is required by NYS law, don't know the section though. I love seeing the escort vehicles with the tall vertical sticks so they can make sure overpasses and traffic lights are high enough, they always remind me of amateur radio antennas.

That does look weird...I had a customer order a Star Super Sabre lightbar with 2 Traffic Directors in it. I personally didn't like it, but the customer is KING! They told me they wanted it that way because they sometimes stop along the road and wanted traffic directors for oncoming traffic as well. :eyebrowhuh: :weird:

Whelen used to have this as an option for their Edge strobe bars. I saw it on a power company F250 truck several years ago. Not sure if it's still an option.

Title changed to screwed up install. That was the reason why I posted. Never said anything about whacker.

Having a traffic director to the front makes sense in some applications. If you are rerouting traffic around your unit and facing towards traffic it makes sense.

The concept was great, poor execution on an even poorer vehicle. Like the triple firebeams, wish it had amber instead of clear for the rear. And that "console" made me wanna vomit a lil :bonk:

New place to get lights? Junkyard!!!

You would be surprised what you can find at the bone yard. My best prize yet was an EQ2B amplifier from under the rear seat of a fire SUV that appeared to have been rolled over.

Most of the public works trucks around here have a TD on the front now, although stupidly they are mounted on the bumper. Didn't help the one I saw today though, a car must have gotten confused and got stuck under the FUP* bar!

*FUP bar, Front Under run Protection bar. Stop smaller vehicles going under the front bumper.

Caught this gem when I was out and about. Dodge Stratus with a freedom on the top. Paramedic and fire department stickers on the trunk. The round ones on the passenger and drivers doors are ohio courtesy patrol stickers. I should have gotten a video as the driver punched the go-pedal through the parking lot. He looked to be about 18.

And yes, the bar hangs over several inches on either side.

Good to see you like my car. Yes I am a firefighter/medic, where I work is my business, please don't ask. If you have any problems plz dont heaitate to call the SO who would be more than pleased to explain to you who I am and yea I work for the courtesy patrol. You can find more info bu searching us. Have a good day gentleman stay safe :)

Boundless stupid.

Wonder what would happen if they were to play that trick behind two known felons who jumped bail and are driving to a heist armed to the teeth... :weird:

Wow it's to bad you can't arrest them from a youtube video I'm sure you could trace their IP address or something.

There might be readable LPs in other videos uploaded by the same user. Who knows? "Boundless stupid," as they say.

I'm terrified to see what kind of sync/patterns are set up on this configuration. Sorry if this isn't the right thread for this; the only other seemingly-appropriate one that I could find was closed.

Edit: Oh Jesus, I just noticed the positive battery terminal. GG.

The owner of this wonderful vehicle brings new meaning to the word wacker:

**It looks like he took a vintage NYPD bar and put it on his wackermobile - that's disgraceful.

**He's a volunteer ambulance person in New York. They're not allowed to use blue. If he is with a VFD (or VAC) he sure shouldn't be using red!

**He mounted the NYPD bar to his luggage rack...say it isn't so.

**What's with the HUGE Star of Life on the door (probably has an identical sticker on the driver's door, too)?

**What purpose does "BRAVO" on his back side windows serve, other than to reduce visibility?

**And, finally...I love the front bumper made out of an old truck tire.
