Allentown Spring Melt Fireshow 2026

Last year was kinda a bust the vendors seem to be on the decline shame it used to be packed
Its still pretty busy, but yeah last year was thinner then normal. I've mentioned this in the past but Early buyers, and people going as vendors and getting all the cherries have made this much less appealing then it used to be. Still deals to be had if your patient enough.

shameless self plug, I just tossed together some items I can bring down to spring melt if anyone is interested. Listed in the vintage for sale section..

and that's a wrap for 2026!

I saw many more opportunities this year then last year, and ended up making a few bucks which is awesome. I'm waiting for the rain to abate before I unpack my small score. Shout out to the people I met again this year.

It appears from your post and some I saw on Facebook today that this year’s event was more bountiful/rewarding from a light collector perspective. Think I may finally make the pilgrimage next year if nothing else than to meet some of the community! Thanks for sharing.

Gotta say, the AeroDynic, while being forward thinking was still just a collection of VitaLites under an aerodynamic facade. Nothing can replace a par 36 bulb pop. STILL, the model 24 was a significant development in emergency vehicle warning. LEDs now rule, nest pas?
I think the AeroTwinsonic was awesome. All the lighting power of the Twinsonic, but in a far more aerodynamic package.

The standard Aerodynic, when the revolving reflectors were equipped with H1 bulbs, was effective, but the end lamps and alley lamps killed the flashes when the bar was viewed from the side.

Aerodynics equipped with incandescent bulbs did have the effectiveness of a row of Vitalites, if the Vitalites could be synchronized.

Front of the 24EH Aero is in the North Dakota Highway Patrol format of the late 1970s through early 1990s, heh heh!

Nice, I have not had a chance to really dig into either. Probably make a video when I do, the mini is probably going to be sacrificed to the Aero gods to finish another project.

That is an interesting set up. Did the highway patrol use the Aerodynic with steady burn, forward facing amber lights?
Alternating flash for front and rear end lamps. Troopers could kill the rotators and just use the ambers on a traffic stop or accident scene to reduce light pollution at night so drivers wouldn't be too distracted from the red/clear rotators.
