How do you seal firewall penetrations? I like the idea of this product: https://www.uniquefirestop.com/the-automotive-firewall-they-are-not-what-they-used-to-be/

Or what about high-temp RTV?

I'm not talking about avoiding possible wire insulation chafing, (which can be done with rubber grommets) but actually sealing the passenger compartment from fumes and buying some time in the event of an engine compartment fire. I think this could be a concern especially in older apparatus, which may have been passed down and/or re-purposed.
 
For existing holes metal push in plugs (Think freeze plugs but with clips) and some JB weld. If I make new holes they are as high on the wall and small as I can manage, or use existing chases.
