While I was out scoring the Whelen TA Bar, the seller asked if I wanted a frame. I said "Sure, lemme look at it".

He reached around a stack of stuff and pulled out this monster:

The rolling cooler as just over 6 feet tall, so that bar has to be 8'.

I said it was bigger than any of the bars I'd seen on fire apparatus. He thinks it was from an interstate plow truck, but didn't remember where he'd gotten it. He'd pulled the lamps for use on his work trucks but I saw that and had to share.

That was me. Scrap yard in taylorville il has a pile of them. Says he normally sells them for 100 but listed one on hibid and got less than half what he wanted. They are all remote powered.

Best use I have seen yet for the tall feet! That's awesome.

I had a 6' Edge that I felt intimidated by when I stood it on end, this one is crazy.

Reminds me of the scene from Shrek when they see the castle for the first time. The assembly workers at Whelen had to be thinking the same thing, lol.

Love these big bars!

Load that bad boy up with 400’s six over six’s... I’ve got a 4500 plus that’s 96” long... stacked with 400’s six over six... bar is CRAZY BRIGHT.

Enjoy!

Nice looking bar.

Here i am wanting to build a replica mx from my cousins department that was on a pumper they had, truck has been replaced with a new one but still liked the mx that was on the old one.

Dont see me finding a frame for an 80” mx though in this lifetime though, but hey i can dream

The frame is 96, add caps and its a smidgen over 100".

@EHFD_Tower_751 you could always find a couple of 48s or a 48 and 36 and have em welded/bolted together.
