I have a halogen unity spotlight on my FD car, the light only comes on when the spotlight is in certain positions. If I turn it to the right too far, the light will go out until I turn it back to the left. Any ideas??
I agree with Jarred J. It sounds like the contacts on the shaft and in the handle need cleaning. To allow for continuous rotation we have two sets of contacts in the spotlight instead of a wire running the whole length. Overtime dirt or grease can work its way between them. This can stop flow of electricity at certain angles. They can be accessed by removed the handle from the shaft of the spotlight. The little metal tip at the very end of the spotlight shaft is the contact. You should be able to wipe away any debris with a dry paper towel. Once the contact is clean return the handle to the spotlight. If problem persists, please let us know.
