Im fixing up a arjent bar for someone and just want to make sure what i think is correct

The board inside the bar has part number 2005395C

Only wires that come out are the 2 power and Ethernet cable
I assume this has to be connected to a controller to enable the bar? No way to use it standalone?

If all the modules are separately wired with three wires going to each modules vs all lightheads being mounted and soldered on a giant circuit board, you can rewrite it to not use the SIB. Since I can’t see the rest of the bar, unknown if it’s possible.

Looks like they are all attached to each section

That requires the external control box. The model should be S2, the ones that dont require an external controller are SL.

Unfortunately I dont know the model numbers of the serial controllers that would work for that. Might be worth an email to Federal Signal for that.

What you have is a Arjent S2 light bar and to operate this bar you need serial interface module or the four, six, or nine-button convergence network programmable controller. Only Arjent SL bars can be wired to regular switch box.

Pretty much the LED equivalent of Whelen PCDS9 serial stuff. You are essentially locked out without the controller. I think 911EP and sound off pulled the same trick on a few models at one point.
