I had posted a few months ago about trying to find replacement labels for the 1166 Teardrop light. I have found a source to make some, but it will require a large order to have them made. I expected this to be the case. I’m trying to gauge interest to see how many people would want to purchase some labels before I commit to ordering them. They would be printed on foil type material and embossed to try to match the originals as much as possible.
I know a couple of people had mentioned in the original post that they would want to purchase some, but I’m hoping to find several people to buy some to cut down the cost to everyone.
I posted as new post to hopefully be seen by people who made not go back and read old posts, but I apologize if I need to post it differently.

Maybe I have found a print shop that can can reproduce the labels.
They gave me a list of their red tones. Can please a owner of a original SVP 1166 label name me the closest color.Thank you very much.

Mars Light, that would be great! Locally the only place I could find that would even try to make them had a minimum order of 1,000 and would be over $800. I knew it wouldn’t be economical for me if I only sold a few and I’d end up with hundreds left over.
I will get some photos of one of mine to possibly help match the color.

Photos with comparison to a Fire Ball label and also an older Clearwater FL SVP label. The 1166 label is more of a red foil where the Fire Ball is more of a flat red.

Good and bad news

First the bad - printing shop has not the material to come close to the original requirements.

But I made some tests with the print file and some own materials.

I printed the file on clear sticker film.

Next step is to use silver tape or roof insulating and stick the print on it.

This is the first try.

Original is 12mm width, the print is 15mm. Therefore, unfortunately, I had to remove some mm on both sides. Here is the result.

Hard to say how the print quality will be in future. It is ink print. I can try to fix the print with clear coat. But I guess the paint will react with the ink.
