Hello fellow enthusiasts!

This time I have a project that has been in the works for a while, but finally got around to putting it all back together. It is a Federal Signal Aerodynic model 24EAH-T L.A.P.D. lightbar. I have had this one for a while, but decided I wanted to restore it like it should be. I COMPLETELY disassembled it and restored each piece as needed. I took one picture of it after it was taken apart, see it in the first picture. I powder coated the frame and plates and polished the mounting feet. I wanted to make the mounting feet shine, as most feet have these ugly welding marks from the alley light rod. I replaced most all of the hardware with new nuts and bolts. I also spray painted most all the plastic housings, as they were faded from the sun. The domes are brand new from Federal, I don't have the patience to restore domes, especially Aerodynic domes. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking and stay tuned!

Oh, man, Eric, is this a nice restoration!

I am in the process of restoring mine, along with the Unitrol Controller that will go with it.

I like how you spray painted the faded parts. Makes a huge difference.

You surpassed yourself once again!

Hi Eric

As usual, your attention to detail is second to none. I love reading about your restoration jobs. Everything you finish is nothing short of perfect. I just wish I had the time...

Great job. Well done.

WOW, that IS nice!!!!! I still have not forgot about you Eric....

That looks great, as usual.

It really bugs me that Federal Signal changed the font for the word "AeroDynic" on their newer nameplates. I wish they had kept it the same. Oh well.

I would love to see a video of it in action.

Actually, I don't know if that's possible with this and Eric's other restored bars. If you notice, there's no leads coming from the power block and out to the bottom of the Aero:

All his restos are museum-like pieces: They work, but it's best to leave them off to preserve their integrity (don't quote me on this, just a guess :haha: )

Yeah, it's not the same compared to the original style. The font is bigger and longer. Boooooo....

All in all, great job, Eric!

Nice job Eric.....almost as good as mine LOL. I am seeking fundage for my new domes to complete mine......$$$$$

Very beautiful pictures are making!

Easier for you to obtain the components Aerodynic light bars for 2 years .... I am looking for my Aerodynic 24EAH Red endcap to dome ...

Lightbar I have seen this when I was visiting in LA, Davis training academy.

I like the lightbar, but it is very difficult for me to buy such a thing, such a model is very rare in Europe.

this is a masterpiece !

Nice job!! I am trying to repair my LAPD light bar, some model as yours, but I cannot find the nylon worm gear part #Z8422B391A. Would you know of any place that carries these? Thank you.
