Back in 1990 the Ohio State Highway Patrol had a fully marked silver Ford Crown Victoria that had red & blue high beam headlights instead of the standard Federal Jetsonic lightbar. It also had a visor cover that said 'State Trooper' that lit up (and other lights). This car wasn't used for patrol. It was created to present to the Ohio Legislature to get approval to use cruisers without a roof mounted lightbar. Ohio law prevented such vehicles, and the Ohio Legislature rejected this idea.
I was fortunate enough to actually see the car in person, that's how I know it existed.
Does anyone remember these visors that had 'POLICE', 'SHERIFF' and 'STATE TROOPER' on them? I'm wondering who made them, and if anyone has one.
