Carlos SpicyWeiner's STILL Never-Ending Comment Contest

i paid $105 friggin dollars for a lawn more tire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my car tires are only 63 and my truck tires are 78 so thats a bit excessive...

i get the mower back off the trailer and surprise it doesnt want to go in gear...

I take the deck off to discover that apparently the flat tire knocked a spring off the clutch/flywheel assembly that,s attached to the rear of the frame, which knocked another spring off the clutch petal.....

i figure out how to reattach the spring because im sans internet at the house and dont have a manual. (the springs rub marks on the frame was a giveaway as to where it went...)

got it reattached, got the clutch spring reattached, get on the mower start her up and still nothing... so back under we go... there is a small notch on the flywheel where a 3rd spring was still attached but jumped out of a groove. few taps with the wire plyers and in she went. got back on mower, started up and BOOM started rolling....

So put the deck back on, loaded up the mower and went and mowed a yard.

to all the movie folks watch batman vs superman at your own risk as the title is "misleading" it was an OK movie but to many flashbacks on batman's side.... how many time and ways do we have to see his parents get shot?

also, since the past 3 batmans had him sound like he was choking while talking this one had to do the same thing via a "voice modulator" in the suit....

ohh yeah and since we still cant edit the first part of that thread was supposed to be

"its mowing season so the mowing troubles begin LOL"

but it got cut off somehow

I just ready upped my rider and weedeater today....to the tune of 80 bucks. Eater needed fuel/air filters and plug. Rider needed oil, filter, full set of blades and the deck under declumped.

Ma nature can bring it now, he he.

come in radio

Just 1 at the fire station, I think PD can have 2 for major storms and stuff where they could use an extra body, but they generally also run 1

Surprised your area hasn't tried to consolidate. We have 7 dispatchers on duty 24/7.

And as for your weekend question...I'll be stuck at work all weekend, but time in the mornings to work on my vintage Code 3 2200.

didnt know the thread was dead?

today is officially my last day at the old job 10 years to the date i started. my last work day was sunday.

We're not a big town by any means... 8(+/- 1) miles maybe from one side to the other at the farthest point, not super populated roughly 13,500 people

I hope you'll post some pics of the project when you finish it

this thread used to have people constantly talking on it. a week with nothing said is "dead" to this thread in my eyes

Congrats on leaving! That must have been difficult after 10 years

no it really wasnt....

speaking of dispatchers... my county of 80,000 we have 2 dispatchers that dispatch city fd, county vfds, ems, ema, and our rescue squad...

the city has its own dispatch.

moore county the county i work in has 1 dispatcher for everything.

coffee county has 3 dispatchers for everything in that county which is 2 "large" towns (20+k a piece) PD and FD, SO, ems, RS EMA

You have fire and PD dispatchers separate in a small town? Interesting.

Yep, PD just had a new station built 2 years ago. They've tossed the idea of joining together for dispatch but that never went anywhere. I like it seperated, although it would be useful in storms when the PD gets calls about downed tree limbs and that stuff for them to be able to send the officers out instead of transferring the call to us and having us dispatch our fire officers, I just think it would save time and possibly money as well, as were a paid on call department

Ours consolidated in '96. We dispatch all city PD,FD,EMS (100,000+ people), county SO, 15 rural PDs, and 14 rural fire/ems.

It has its perks being together, especially during big incidents, but there's pros/cons to both.

Does anyone know if the whelen SSFPOSi6 plug and play flasher for "07-15 Chevy Tahoe police packages" will work with non police packages? If it does will it also work with the bigger brother... The suburban? I have an install comming up next week and trying to figure out if I should bother ordering it... I don't see why it wouldn't unless the computer was programmed differently

latest shenanigans:

filed taxes and was going toget a prettynice refund.... thenidded the second job and it went to $0

sothere went my siren buying money.

today i was mowing my smallest yard and the steering drag link ball just breaks off for no reason. ($70 part) and ive got(or had) 6 yards to mow this weekend. if i could afford a new mower id get it.....

but hey, at lest my dome for my minibar will be sent out monday.............

S**T ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!! He returns from the ...... well....... I don't wanna jinx myself. HA!! How have y'all been?

Work has been a nightmare. This small town is going through SO many changes. Chief is quitting, Mayor is quitting, another officer is leaving, and the town council is trying to run off the entire department. It's been sheer hell. So I'm in the process of making plans to return to Texas next summer, possible a little before. Our case load was already running us into the ground, and with the chief leaving things are piling up fast, but remaining at a standstill.

mini bar project done...

Fart...ah crap...think that was a shart....

just ordered $130 more in parts for mower.... (rather have used the money for more lights or a what i really need a siren for the car)

quarter of a century old, starting to fall apart. LOL

so since i couldnt get any yards mowed this weekend, i worked on getting the lights going back in the truck...

ive got a SOS 660 thats acting funny. i was going down the road and saw a white flashing on my 102 still whip. im guessing the supply was trying to ground itself out through that bulb. i get to the house and see that it finally decided to start working again except that one bulb.... o_O

got the pa 300 rewired up with a new harness,

now if i get a call and need to go code 3 in the truck i can throw the mini jet, hit the headlight flasher and siren and be "legal"

well i guess i can add "calf wrangling" to my resume....

coming in to work this mornign there were 4 calfs in the middle of the 2 lane highway i drive to work... they all apparently like white cars???

called it in to dispatch and the escorted them to the grass so i could get by to and the professor behind me to work... they started walking back towards the road as i left LOL

a deputy was enroute to find the owners

Sorry I'm late to the "party," Nic, but the promotion was a great idea! It keeps the Forum busy, you're able to validate the date and time and you'll probably get a repeat customer from the winner! Well done!

so since the governor didnt sign the guns on campus bill, last week it became law as of july 1 for us full time faculty and staff to conceal carry on campus. since i have my wee lil 380, i am looking for concealment options... after i get my permit....

Ive been waiting for a few years for the state government to pass either constitutional carry, or the veterans dont need a permit law. neither have passed so now i need to go get my permit...
