2013 PIU Phone Keypad

Can someone please tell me what the phone keypad is for on my dash, by the menu buttons? Did it ever work? Can it work again?

As a Ford driver, I can confirm I use it for making calls when my phone is connected

OK, so right now, it doesn’t connect or work at all. Did the police departments use the Ford sync, or not? Like I’m wondering if it was just disabled from the factory since this is the police interceptor.

If the vehicle doesn't have Sync the keypad should do the radio presets.

Yeah.

My piu has this it works when your phone is connected via Bluetooth or USB
